Bilberry

Bilberry, a European relative of the American blueberry, is most widely used to treat eye or ocular disorders. It is indicated for individuals with degenerative retinal conditions, such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and cataracts. Bilberry protects against the breakdown of rhodopsin, a light sensitive pigment located in the rod cells of the retina, and is able to regenerate rhodopsin.
